What kind of math do you need for GMAT?
The main math concepts tested on the GMAT are relatively simple – arithmetic, algebra, geometry – but you probably haven’t studied them since high school. Your GMAT prep will get nowhere if you don’t first review basic concepts in these three areas.
Is a 600 GMAT score good?
Scores above 700 are generally considered strong and those below 600 are considered very weak.

How many math questions are on the GMAT?
Math: 40-20-2. At question 11, you should have at least 40 minutes left. At question 21, you should have at least 20 minutes left. At question 31, you should have 2 minutes left, since you’re on the last question. Verbal: 45-27-10. At question 11, you should have at least 45 minutes left. At question 21, you should have at least 27 minutes left.
Does GMAT need hard math skills?
Yes, math is required for the GMAT (specifically for the entire quantitative section), but it isn’t particularly “difficult” math. The level is generally comparable to a senior year high school math class. There is a pretty limited amount of “theory” to GMAT quant sections.
